Where the conversation began, and the work behind the work took centre stage.

The day at a glance

Our community arrived at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown, and the conversations started before the first course. Old friends reconnected, new introductions were made, and the room filled with the energy of people who care deeply about this work.

The menu by Chef Andrew George told a story of the waters, the sky, the earth and the land of the Wet’suwet’en people of north-central British Columbia. Culture on a plate, shared around one table.

Then we celebrated the work behind the work. The Core Values Awards honoured projects, organizations and individuals raising the bar for public participation through thoughtful practice, innovation, leadership and impact. Congratulations again to every 2026 recipient.
